Am I one of the few people in the universe who still like to keep a paper agenda? I see posts everywhere in the blogosphere about ditching the paper planner for Google Calendar exclusively. Call me old school, but I'm just too scared to make the full switch. Even though I'm a social media fiend, I just love paper. Here are a few pretty planners for 2013 which have been on my radar...
1) Kate Spade 2) Erin Condren 3) Design Darling 4) Lilly Pulitzer
5) Crane & Co. 6) May Books 7) russell+hazel 8) Emily Ley
I've had a Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer in the past, but this year, I'm leaning toward the russell+hazel binder {with the smartdate inserts}. I don't think I'm totally ready to go in the full-on Google Calendar mode just yet. As the most connected and organized folks I know, your two cents matter--so let me know what you think :) enjoy your Thursday--and I'll see you tomorrow for Friday's Fancies!
my calendar was attached to my phone because that way it synched with my work commitments, but now that I've quit my job (!!!) I want to go back to a hardcopy planner! I've got a few 2012 one lying around just to use till the end of the year, but thanks for these 2013 suggestions :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely pro paper planners (say that 10 times fast!) I've had a "binder" planner before but it was too bulky for my liking. I prefer the other ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm a paper planner. Infact I splurge on paper planners- leather binders and all. I usually get mine from Franklin Covey

I like to use these, too (in addition to an online calendar, of course!) I love all your picks.
ReplyDeletePaper planner all the way! Have you looked at Martha Stewart's line at Staples? I just got a really pretty Tiffany Blue colored notebook/planner. She has a ton of inserts as well as cute sticky's to buy. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the paper planner, I can't do without mine! I like physically flipping through pages and seeing my own handwriting for some reason :) I love that Lilly one, but #6 is so cute too! Have a great day!

I am a huge proponent of paper agendas. If nothing else they are fun!! Sitting in a meeting, I think its rude to be tapping away on your phone, so I write in my agenda to take notes.
ReplyDeleteLove the Lilly planner - I've used it for 3+ years now! Plus the pages are fun for crafting after the year is over :)
Happy Thursday!!
Ella
I MAY have a May Books giveaway coming up if you want the Zebra one ;)
ReplyDeleteI've always been a planner girl. I still buy one at the beginning of every year and LOVE picking out a style. Usually I get them from Target - but love these picks! To me, it's easier to keep my life in a paper planner. And I'm a creature of habit so I doubt I'll switch anytime soon!

These are BEAUTIFUL!! I love the May Books option.
ReplyDeletelove this roundup. can't go full on google calender yet either. but i do love the appt feature on google when I'm meeting with clients, so we're all on the same page. and I suspect I'll always have a paper calender. (:
ReplyDeleteand Go emily Ley! definitely my favorite ever planner!
Great round-up! For the last 3 years I've been using the Sarah Pinto ones, they are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI have an Erin Condren planner and love it! However, I do find that I use my electronic calendar maybe more than I would like...it's hard when people schedule appointments through my email calendar and get everything in two places! So I use my planner mainly for to do lists and important things.
ReplyDeleteI have an Erin Condren planner on my Christmas list :)
ReplyDeleteI love paper planners way better than electronic still.. I like being able to see everything all at once and write things down and write out lists!
Such cute options! I'm a fan of traditional Moleskine's. I have a black leather one that holds my life :)
ReplyDeletei agree 100%! i am very adamant about sticking to my paper planner - something about handwriting it down makes it stick more in my head. i just ordered this one the other day: http://www.momagenda.com/
ReplyDeleteand YES, it is not just for moms (considering I am not a mom, i ordered the myAgenda planner in gold)

Stick with paper! I have the Kate Spade 2013 one and can't wait to use it!
ReplyDeleteI just love that Design Darling polka dot planner -- so much fun! Thanks for the great round-up!
ReplyDeleteALL I use is a paper planner. I like to cross things out and scribble! Using an online calendar doesn't make me as creative for some reason!

I had an Erin Condren last year and loved it. I know most of your readers aren't moms, but I have a family wall calendar that has a slot for every person. It is so helpful in keeping us organized!
ReplyDeleteI love choice number 3, but after this year of having an Erin Condren, I think that I need to go planner shopping in person. I don't use my EC enough because it's just too big to lug around with me...
ReplyDeleteP.S. Need updates on how your knee is doing?
ReplyDeleteAhh love each of these! I get way too excited about a new planner. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the round up!
I am whole heartedly a paper girl! I have the Lilly planner and can't say enough good things about it (and it has STICKERS!). I've heard good stuff, though, about Erin Condren and May Books :)
ReplyDeleteHappy planning! xo
I love day planners. I'm hoping to get an Erin Condren one for 2013.
ReplyDeleteI'm a paper planner girl too... and have the pink & navy Design Darling planner headed my way! It's kinda crazy how much I love new paper goods :)
ReplyDeleteOooh I love the one from Emily Ley! I wish I was better at using my planner... I have one but quickly neglected it.
ReplyDeleteI love my Erin Condren planner. I would be totally lost without it!
ReplyDeleteI write a bunch of notes down, especially for blogging, on Post Its. Then I throw all of them in my purse and put them in my phone later. Or, I also draft up stuff in Gmail and save it that way. I never use a planner anymore. I always start using one and forget about it and it goes to waste.
ReplyDeleteI use a planner! But currently I don't have funds to get the really expensive nice ones so I just use one from Target, but everything I do needs to be written down. I haven't even started using Google yet. Probably should a bit!!
ReplyDeleteIf you go to Hallmark after Christmas or on Lifeguard press they usually put some of the more pricey ones on sale!
Deletei have a paper planner and it is on my phone. technology can break or my cell battery can die. unless someone set my paper planner on fire, i can always take a look at it.

I love to schedule and to be scheduled, and basically live and breathe by my Lilly (mini) planner. It fits in my purse, so I always have it on me. And then I also have everything on a wall planner, my Mac and my iPhone. I have no excuse to be tardy or miss something!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lilly Planners! I have had one for a few years and I won't be able to switch to another planner or ever go digital. I don't need something beeping at me to remind me I am always five minutes late ;) (and I clearly don't understand how to use them right!)
ReplyDeleteI love a paper planner so much!!

I've got to have a paper planner, I'm obsessed with writing things down and making lists! Love all of these picks :)
ReplyDeleteooo i love #3 and #5!! yes, i'd definitely stick with pen and paper any day :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely use a paper planner! I've been wanting to try an Erin Condren one for a while, but my trusty $8 pick from Target has been working pretty well, so I can't justify the upgrade quite yet. :) I also like thinner planners that fit in my purse; the Erin Condren ones seem so big!
ReplyDeleteIn order to transition myself to a fully electronic schedule (gasp!) I bought the tiniest planner I could find. That way, I'll only write down dates/times/appointments, and not every little item that's already on my to-do list. I have lists ontop of lists, but at least it helps me get things done!
ReplyDelete...Lauren
I use both! I am totally add, and if I don't then I will forget!

I have an Erin Condren planner and I hate it. It was such a waste of $50. The cute video and pictures they have on the website don't show just how HUGE and heavy it is! It doesn't fit in a basic sized purse and it's so enormous, it's just a pain to carry around. It's not easy to just whip it out and write something down quickly when you're on the go. I DEFINITELY don't recommend it. I'm looking at the Believe I AM Training journals for this coming year since they're more geared toward running and working out but I'm looking at other options for my day to day. I'm going to look at some of the ones you suggested though!
ReplyDeleteI've been a paper planner addict since I was thirteen and I can't see that changing anytime soon! I love the planner with the zebras :)
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with planners!! those are cute!
ReplyDeleteI have the hot pink "this is your lucky year" from Sarah Pinto (same designer as the polka dot one) and I LOVE it! For work, I swear by my Outlook calendar, but for personal and play, I have to go the handwritten route.
ReplyDeleteI'm a planner person and I already got new inserts for my filofax and I can't wait to use them!!!
