Two years ago, I finally ditched my Blackberry and came over to the iPhone--and haven't looked back since. As fate would have it, my plan was up for renewal when they announced the iPhone 5 a few weeks ago. Though I didn't wait in a crazy line on Friday, I did manage to pre-order one of my own :) I finally got my shipping notice on Saturday and cannot wait to get it in my hands later this week.
The only problem? I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to my iPhone case. With very few options available so far, I decided to let you all benefit from my research. Here is my little case study:

ReplyDeleteThese are all great options! I have had two Kate Spade cases for my iPhone 4, and while I have liked them a lot, they break pretty quickly. I am, though, pretty rough on my phone. How exciting that you got the 5. My husband got his and Friday and seems to be liking it so far. I'm not up for an upgrade because I got the iPhone 4s. Let us know what you pick. I think a phone case says a lot about someone...

Stay away from one with too much white - it gets dirty fast! But then again, that is also a good excuse to get a new one!

ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to get the new iPhone at the end of next month, when my current contract is up for renewal. If I wait until then instead of getting it now, it'll be much more affordable! I haven't even thought about what kind of case to get for it though. I'm loving that second one in the left column!

That Cocoa & Hearts case is gorrrgeous - but I think toroise is an absolute classic! And I think it totally depends on if you went for the black or the white - the earpiece/home button color makes all the difference!

ReplyDeleteI crazily stood in line at AT&T Friday morning... and surprisingly was only there 2 hours {including standing in line, getting in their, activating/paying then leaving} anyway... I just bought a case in AT&T and it's the white body with pink border *speck case. I actually really like it. It still seems super protective but is really thin and not ugly/bulky. Good luck finding the perfect case! I love my 5 so far!! xo

ReplyDeleteTortoise shell, for sure! Mostly because it looks like leopard and I'm obsessed with leopard. My little phone is cased in a leopard case half of the time (the other half, a flowered case).

I would recommend a silicone one. My iPhone fell on the floor with a shell,and it broke. Since I have a rubber one from Tory Burch it's all good. Fell a few times and nothing happened. Also think about protecting the glass screen! It gets scratched so easily.

I'm definitely too poor to avoid the iPhone5, but I did manage to get my hands on a free iPhone4 when the 5 was released. I am going to get it activated today (also ditched a blackberry) and ordered my case as soon as I ordered the phone. I love all the cases here, the second one down on the left is so neat!
