Hello friends! A very happy Friday to each and every one of you--I am so happy it's finally here. After being a bit under the weather this week, I'm looking forward to this weekend so I can lay low and really recoup. It may not sound that exciting, but you won't hear me complaining ;)
Though this weekend may not feel much like fall, much of this week has, so I have really been craving fun outerwear. {Is that weird? I love coats and jackets--even though I don't love them so much, come March!} Continuing with the fall fashion wave, I picked a blazer as the springboard for this week's Friday's Fancies. Even if you're not super preppy, the blazer can be the perfect way to polish off any autumn ensemble. Here's my attempt at how I'd style a blazer if my shopping budget was unlimited...
1) This Rhiannon Lace Top {via Marc by Marc Jacobs} is simple and feminine, not to mention perfect to wear under a crisp blazer. With all the other moving parts in this outfit, I thought this top provided a great foundation for this get-up.
2) Rag & Bone always takes a "normal" piece to a whole other level. Case in point? This Wilshire Stretch-Cotton Blazer. The clean lines and bold lapel made my preppy heart sing.
3) Since I bought my first pair of J.Crew Minnies, I have been aching to fill up my closet with cropped pants. I spied these Tibi Cropped Wool-Blend Crepe Pants and knew they'd be stellar with this outfit. I adored the cuff too!
4) Tassels have been teasing me for a few months now, so when I spotted this Lee Angel Jewelry Tassel Necklace, I knew I finally had my chance to try out this trend.
5) I could only dream that my shopping budget allowed for Yves Saint Laurent. This Dandy Houndstooth Patent Leather Shoulder Bag would be one of those investments I would never regret making. It is not only chic, it's classic--which is just my scene.
6) A bold cocktail ring, like this Michael Kors Chunky Chain Ring, may not provide a pop of color, but it does add a fun little edge.
7) Animal prints and I are becoming fast friends this fall. These J. Crew Nora Calf Hair Ballet Flats add a little peep of leopard to finish off this get-up with some sass.
Ahh! No way- we totally picked the same blazer! I pinky swear I did not see yours first. Great minds think alike, I guess? :) I love your outfit, as usual. Happy Friday, lady! xo
