I really thought this Friday would never come ;) It's been a long week here, but I'm looking forward to the weekend--even if it includes Irene in some shape or form. I don't mind holing up with {cv} and weathering the storm, just pray everyone on the eastern seaboard stays safe! This week, I asked the Friday's Fancies faithful to pull together a chic look they'd sport to a wedding if money were no object. {This theme also works well with the super fun wedding blog crawl hosted by Love is Home and cornflake dreams!}
Since I discovered Rent the Runway last year, I've been able to amp up my wedding guest style in a major way...so here's a look I pulled together playing to my love of RTR and allowing me to be stylish without worrying about my wallet. Check it out!
Since I discovered Rent the Runway last year, I've been able to amp up my wedding guest style in a major way...so here's a look I pulled together playing to my love of RTR and allowing me to be stylish without worrying about my wallet. Check it out!
1) Rebecca Taylor nails the feminine look every time--and this Sweetheart Party Dress is just another example of their lady-like style. I loved the color and the soft polka dots. In my opinion, it's just heavenly! {It retails for $365, but you rent it for just $50!}
2) There's nothing like a bold necklace to make a statement. In a way, this Cara Accessories Chain and Crystal Necklace would also play up the polka dots in the Rebecca Taylor stunner. I'm in love. {It retails for $163, but you rent it for just $30!}
3) A little bling goes a long way and these Crislu Teardrop Sparkle Earrings take this look to the next level. With my hair pulled back, I could show off these beauties and save myself the hefty pricetag with a rental! {It retails for $120, but you rent it for just $20!}
4) A perfect pout, which could be achieved with this Lancome Color Design Lipcolor in Wannabe, would polish off this whole look. You can also order it with all your other Rent the Runway goodies! {$22}
5) If you've been following along for any length of time, you know I love Kate Spade, so it should come as no surprise that I adore these Covet Heels. I think it's worth investing in one great pair of shoes which can be worn to multiple weddings, not just one! I like to justify it with the cost per wear argument ;) {$276.25}
6) I have been lusting for envelope clutches lately and renting this Kara Ross Snow Queen Clutch would afford me the chance to try it out before I commit. I love the details and the clean lines. But really, who can argue with a cute clutch? Not me! {It retails for $975, but you rent it for just $45!}

Cost per wear... I justify lots of things with that argument :)
ReplyDeleteI tried soo hard to do a Friday's Fancies this week and I was so excited, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to clip the jewelry and dress from RTR into Polyvore! The green box doesnt show up because its a zoom. Help!
