On Saturday, I got an email which basically changed the course of my afternoon. I literally spent an hour drooling over all the fun goodies in Kate Spade's new Wedding Belles collection. I'll admit, some of me thinks the geniuses at Kate Spade just know how to brand themselves and that the Wedding Belles line is really just bringing them into the wedding world. I've seen a few of these pieces previously on their website, but this time, they're in manageable sections for the bride, her bridesmaids, and even the honeymoon. |
{jeweled kati cardigan - jillian dress - charmer slingback - say yes "mrs" necklace} |
I'm always a sucker for a cardigan--and I love the classic lines of that Jillian Dress. I tried SO hard in 2009 and early 2010 to find blue wedding shoes--and finally found a pair I loved. The funny thing is that there are now so many options, these Charmers included. And seriously, I've been a Mrs. for a year now, but I still want this necklace. Wouldn't it make a great gift for a bride-to-be?!
{date night ring - maribeth slingback - heart of gold idiom bangle} |
Speaking of creative branding, I love the choices the folks at Kate Spade included in the Bridesmaids section. A lot of their picks were beautiful little gifts, like the ring or bracelet above.
I also loved the versatility of those gold slingbacks, though {in my opinion} it's unkind to
ask a bridesmaid to buy $300 shoes!

{kissing pineapple belt - sea glass twisted statement necklace} |
Limiting myself in the honeymoon section was next to impossible, but I chose these as a few of my favorites. I adore the color yellow and pineapples, so the belt was an absolute winner in my book. The tipping point for me with that gorgeous necklace was the adorable little turtle. Too. cute.
What's your take on Kate Spade's new wedding collection?
Even though I'm now {almost} a year removed from wedding planning, it doesn't mean I have to close my eyes to the whole process! Right?! I can just love all of these beautiful goodies from afar... ;)
By the way, I'm still reeling over the HUGE Friday's Fancies turnout!! Thank you all so much for taking the time to create the beautiful outfits you did :) I can't wait to see what you create this week...
Until tomorrow! xoxo {av}
P.S. Need some distraction this Monday morning? Check out two fun guest posts from yours truly which debuted over the weekend...one on A Home Away from Home and another on From New Jersey to Texas!

Kate Spade is such a great and successful company in my eyes--this wedding category just takes them to another level of fabulous! I love all the color and girlyness! Everything is so fun and colorful!
ReplyDeleteKate's great! She always uses vibrant patterns and colors. Why has she waited so long to break into the wedding world? (Or has she already been, and I've just been out of the loop?}
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!

ReplyDeleteI love everything. I already had my wedding shoes and might be returning them some something sparkly from Kate.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Kate Spade!! I actually have a similar post about Kate Spade's new wedding line scheduled for Thursday -- 1 month from my sisters wedding :) Looking forward to Friday's Fancies this week!

I really like a lot of their stuff from what I've seen so far! The shoes are all so cute!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on teh shoes, that would be a litttle much to ask bridesmaids to pay! I love those pink tights with that dress, not completely sure if I could pull it off or if I'll like the look in a week, but I do as of right now, ha
ReplyDeleteI was so excited when I received this email Saturday too! I just hate that it didn't come out about 2 years ago when I was planning my wedding. I am in love with the "mrs" necklace and agree that it's the perfect gift for a bride!
ReplyDeletelove these new finds. and that mrs. necklace and the blue shoes are definitely my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI love the "Heart of Gold" beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Love it all. =)

I adore Kate Spade. The company exudes such classic style.
ReplyDeletethe mrs necklace is so cute! i must get it for my friend whose wedding i'm in this summer!
ReplyDelete1) those blue shoes look like they were designed after your bridesmaids dresses. kate, do you have something to tell us?
ReplyDelete2) the mrs. necklace is too cute, but i don't think i'd wear it every day. my vintage pearl hangs out in that spot every day. ;)
3) i scored some kate manners & etiquette books as xmas gifts this at a vintage store last year...if i can find them online i'll shoot them your way. sorry so long!
I LOVE the blue shoes! I'd definitely tuck them under a long wedding dress (which, in my dreams, will be strapless and perhaps a mermaid silhouette, provided I can pull it off) to have my "something blue." The Mrs. necklace is beautiful, too. Sigh. Just a seven or eight more years..
ReplyDeleteI loooove the blue shoes and yellow belt- KS can do no wrong.
ReplyDeleteI definently went over to visit the kate spade collection! tooo cute :)

ReplyDeletesome really cute stuff, but you're right, asking your bridesmaids to spend that much on shoes is a bit much. p.s. for for mrs. necklace, it never gets old:)
ReplyDeleteI absoluetly love that 'mrs' necklace! It's darling! Oh Kate Spade, I love you!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of it!!! Kate Spade has done it again! :) I wore blue shoes on my wedding day too ... I love the KS ones though!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think it's ever too 'late' to oooohhh & ahhhh over wedding things! :)

i wander, i wonder
Holy moly, I am DYING right now! I want to get married just so I can get the "mrs" necklace. I love the bridesmaids items, but I'm glad that the bride of an upcoming wedding that I'm a bridesmaid in hasn't come across them! :]
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Blue shoes. I had them on my wedding and loved them!! And I second Sara, I love that "mrs" necklace. Hmmm, perhaps a purchase.... ;)

aaah.. I want the blue shoes. Now.
ReplyDeleteI look high and low for comfortable blue shoes and eventually gave up and went silver. I wish I'd found these last year! As usual, Kate Spade does not wrong.
