If Tuesday and Wednesday's posts weren't enough, you're in for yet another treat today--this time from Kristen at A Kapple A Day. Kristen isn't just a fellow Rhody, she's a real life friend! We met through blogging and she has certainly enriched my life in ways I never dreamed possible. Get ready to take a journey into her dream kitchen...which looks a great deal like my dream kitchen too ;) Have a great Thursday!
Can't wait for Friday's Fancies tomorrow! xoxo {av}

Hello there {long distance loving} readers! I'm so happy to be here guest posting today for Miss {AV} while she is away in my old stomping grounds of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When I asked my friend here what she would like me to talk about, she gave me free reign but did mention the words "home guru." While I'm not sure how much truth there is to this title, I am certainly excited about my new home and in the last few months have become slightly obsessed with all things home decor related.

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home. No matter what, it always seems to be the place that people congregate. Our current kitchen is pretty small. Good enough for just the two of us for now, but I've always had dreams of a large, open kitchen with a center island. I'd like a space where I can cook away for hours and friends and family can gather around. Eat, drink, and be merry. So without further ado, I give you some eye candy in the form of my dream kitchen. I hope someday to have that large open space with wooden floors, white cabinets {some with glass doors}, an island, and some shelves for my cookbook collection!
{I love how this kitchen has a little attached breakfast nook. I think that's another requirement for mine as well, or an island bar with some seating!}
|
{I will take that hutch with the glass doors, those pendant lights, and the wrap-around shelf right below the ceiling, perfect for displaying some treasures!}
|
{I kinda love everything about this kitchen.
The hutch, the pendants, the floor the pops of blue!}
|
{Did I mention I have a thing for glass door cabinetry?
And those dark wood floors are just beautiful.}
|
{Love the French-awning style hood, the subway tile, and the island sink!}
|
{With the exception of the range hood here, this one is my fave. Perfection.}

What does your dream kitchen look like?
swoon! I am obsessed with kitchens. I would take each and every one of these!
ReplyDeleteThese are great- we're moving to a new place soon that will be a totally blank slate, I love the inspiration!
ReplyDeletebeaaautiful! I would do anything for a real kitchen.
ReplyDeletethis is so coincidental because today i was talking with my friends here (italy) and they all want really modern kitchens one day, as i am completely in love with your style here - wood floors, white cabinets, classic touches but clean lines. i guess this is american of me? haha. great choices!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are stunning! I would also love a little nook, have an unhealthy obsession with glass cabinetry and love a low hanging chandelier over the dinner table.
ReplyDeleteThanks for guest posting!
xoxo

I would love an island and breakfast nook. Other than that I am pretty much undecided... Lovely inspiration, though! x
ReplyDeletemy dream kitchen is very similar! i definitely want a breakfast nook and lot of cabinets (with glass doors).

The first photo looks like my dream kitchen as well, I love the lighting and big windows :)
ReplyDeleteI love kitchen designs! I'd love any one of these!
ReplyDeleteWe just started the process of remodeling and building on to our kitchen and I have a whole file of pictures very similar to your choices above!
ReplyDeletelove all your inspiration images - especially the one with the black and white tile!!!
ReplyDeletewhite in a kitchen is a must for me. While dark rich wood is gorgeous, I love how light and clean a white kitchen looks. that and I need extra sq. ft. in that room - I like to make a mess and throw a party, and you need the space for both!
ReplyDeletemy dream kitchen is all white...with amazing appliances and tons of space :)
ReplyDelete(oh, and maybe a free maid to help clean up the mess i always seem to make!)
gorgeous! i'll take any one of those..and island is a must, along with a lot of natural light!

ReplyDeleteuhm yes please. ill take them all.
ReplyDeleteI get a lot of inspiration/entertainment from The Selby. Do you guys go there?
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen in this studio apartment is amazing; I love the little bunk above it! Normally I'm color-crazy, but I think white suits kitchens really well because it's so clean and bright (plants help the ambiance, for sure).
Nice picks, Kristen! I looove that little breakfast nook in the first one. & looks like you like white kitchens, too! : )
agreed. a great kitchen makes a great house! my requirement for our first home was a nice, wide open kitchen. great post! :)
ReplyDeleteOh girl, you just made my kitchen dreams come true! We moved into a new apartment with a bit more kitchen space, but I'd kill for a bright, white space, about 6 more drawers and cabinets and some stunning light fixtures!
ReplyDeleteLove all the kitchens...and finding such lovely fellow Rhode Islanders through blogging! I now have another blog to add to my google reader :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteYep, these kitchens are all divine, Kristen!! Great taste, as usual!! :)
