When I logged on last night, I cannot tell you what a smile it brought to my face to see that I now have over 50 followers! It means the world to me that each one of you finds what I write worth reading enough to click the "follow" button. Not only that, I'm overwhelmed with the blog love {i.e. sweet comments} all of you have been leaving me.
All this being said, I truly don't know how to thank you. I'm not super saavy on all this blog giveaway business yet {can someone teach me pretty please!?!}, but I decided that the best way to celebrate hitting the 50 mark with letting you in on a little secret....

Ok, it may not be a secret to all of you, but Rent the Runway is about the best thing to happen to me {fashion-wise!} in the last year. I share this "secret" with you because if everyone knew about it, it would take some of the fun away ;)
Rent the Runway is, for all intents and purposes, a dress and jewelry rental website. Say you have a holiday party or are going out on New Year's Eve...well, you obviously want to look your best! You put in the date of your event, your size, and--voilà--it shows you a zillion different dresses you can rent to dress to impress. {You can even sort by dress length, body type, occasion, etc.}
It seems a little too good to be true, I know, but trust me here...I rented a fantastic Shoshanna dress for a wedding in early November and no one guessed that I was only borrowing the dress for the weekend. Let's be honest, I hate spending my hard earned cash on dresses I can only wear once--maybe twice--because we're in the era of facebook phototagging. Consider Rent the Runway the best friend's closet you always wanted to raid...
Whenever I tell my friends about RTR, they always say they would never really know what size to request. Geniuses that they are, the folks at Rent the Runway realized that and offer you two sizes with each rental--for no extra fee! The dresses are mailed to you the day before the event in a garment bag {which you get to keep} and the {already paid} return shipping envelope is included. You just drop the package in the mail within the allotted rental period {either four or eight days} and you're good as gold. If you get spilled on while wearing the dress, it's no sweat because they include a $5 insurance policy.
It's basically like they thought of everything.
The even better part is that they're currently running a clearance sale where they're retiring dresses--and you can get them for more than half off! Hello, brands I can never otherwise afford...come to momma!
