Today, I want to share one of my newest guilty pleasures with you. I also have a pretty good feeling I may be creating a new series of sorts because I have plenty of guilty pleasures...hello, mac&cheese and spoonfuls of JIF peanut butter ;)
In any case, meet Cosmopolitan Bride.

I found this gem of a magazine about a year ago in the bottom tier of the magazine rack at Barnes & Noble. Or maybe it found me. The covers are always dreamy and I have to admit to picking up at least three copies over the last 12 months.

At $9.95 a pop, I can't justify buying every issue because...let's be honest, I'm married...but it doesn't do anyone any harm, right? I'll just stockpile a few ideas for my {yet-to-be-engaged} girl friends...
Are there any other newlyweds who struggle to put down the wedding magazines? I sure hope I'm not alone...but something tells me I'm not ;) Or do you have any funny guilty pleasures? I'd love to hear about them!
Happy almost Friday everyone!
xoxo {av}
P.S. Even Lucy gets in on the action...

what! they have a BRIDE MAGAZINE??
ReplyDeleteLucy is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm now YOUR newest follower. :) Love the pictures in this post.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are incredible! And though I'm not even close to marriage, I feel like understand because I, uh, have my wedding dress picked out. And an engagement ring. Aaaand maybe the venue for the reception. Just because you're a newlywed (or too young, in my case) doesn't mean you can't appreciate pretty bridal editorials! :)
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh love wedding magazines. I'd love to plan one
ReplyDeleteOh my friend, this is a touchy subject... I love wedding magazines. Tell me why a single 21 year old girl buys them and reads them online? But shhh it's a secret**
ReplyDeletexoxo :)
im dying to buy bridal magazines...but i will have to keep my wedding browsing limited to blogs so i keep my crazy in check and i don't scare off the bf who has yet to propose. when that day comes i will make sure to pick up this one tho :) xoxo jcd
ReplyDeleteI need to pick one of these up!! I love looking at wedding stuff! and I'm not with Mr. Charming yet, but tomorrow I will be! EEK!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to buy a bridal magazine, but that doesn't mean I don't spend 30 minutes in the grocery store looking at them! I have a longtime boyf (6 years!) and I think I would jinx it if I actually bought one!
ReplyDeleteim all about wedding magazines and blogs. and im not engaged lol
ReplyDeleteI love wedding magazines. There's a lot of great wedding blogs too. <3
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that magazine....but it looks so cute. I always found wedding mags so overwhelming that after the big day I never picked one up again. But I do love looking at Martha's lovely wedding ideas online....she's pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteI think my new guilty pleasure may actually be the upcoming Royal wedding. :D EEEP! I'm so very excited about it...I've told my husband not to plan anything for me that day because I'll probably be glued to the tv. the. entire. time.
Oh my goodness, I did not even know that they made a bridal magazine!! Ahhhh, where was this post about 6 months ago?? Haha!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea they made mags for brides! I'm like you, I love looking at weddings and bride's magazines even though my wedding has passed. Can't wait to check this out!
ReplyDeleteI used to read wedding magazines in middle school- they're so much fun, even if you're NOT planning a wedding! I completely get it.
ReplyDeletewe all have our guilty pleasures. mine is clothing and I have purchased a couple of rather expensive pieces for the holidays. dont have them yet as they are being tailored to fit. will post about them when I have them in hand.
ReplyDeleteTrish xo
i love to look at bridal magazines too, and i don't even have a boyfriend! there's just so many pretty things to look at and admire in them (and also a lot to take inspiration from for any eventual events down the line haha)

ReplyDeletep.s. i love how you said "or maybe it found me." who can argue with fate? love it.
phew! I'm so glad I'm not alone in the bridal magazine/blog department ;) I also cannot WAIT for the royal wedding this April! I'm not sure if the English Cosmo is related to our American version, but I loved the coincidence there.

ReplyDeletei will never get tired of weddings. i'm still obsessed too! i'll have to check this one out :)
