friday's fancies #4.

Is anyone else happy it's Friday? I don't know about you, but I'm super happy the weekend is finally here. It's been a busy week--and glory of all glories, I survived the baking madness and finished everything I needed to finish! Everything is packaged up and I'll be taking them to the post office in tomorrow morning--so YAY! 

Tonight, I'm bringing two big plates of cookies and some peppermint bark to our work holiday party. Unfortunately, I won't be in the outfit below...I can dream, though right? I wanted a some coverage {hello long-sleeves!} for the cold night ahead--and to keep things "work appropriate." So, for this Friday, here is my "work party friendly" outfit...hope you enjoy!

1) Since I'll be coming from a crazy day of work--with little only so much time to clean up, I thought this Sparklers Headband would be a perfect way to add a little glam and keep my unruly curly hair under control.

2) I spotted this dress at Nordstrom and it totally called to me. The A.L.C. Scarlett Double Knit Lace Dress has the long sleeves I need for the cold wind blowing around New England. I'd probably buy it a size up, however, just to make sure the length was "work party friendly." ;)

3) Kate Spade knows her clutches. The twirl margie is no exception. The chain can be tucked in or left out, which is a nice option when you're juggling a wine glass and a cheese plate {or even a few cookies!}.

4) I loved the contrast this shoe added to the whole outfit...the Stuart Weitzman "Loverly" Pump is just that--loverly! I like the sparkle and it almost has a tweed look to it, which is perfect for a winter peep-toe.

It's not a complicated look, but I think it accomplishes everything I'd need. The sparkle adds some fun without taking it too far ;) Yay for holiday parties--even if it is for work!
